Customer Quick Maintenance

The Customer Quick Maintenance table is available from the Sales or Receivables menu.

The Quick Maintenance tables provide the ability to quickly change a single field across multiple customers. To change multiple fields across multiple customers see Customer Import.

1. When you first enter the Customer option a Select An Option window will appear. Select QUICK MAINTENANCE.

2. Enter a customer mask to make changes to a single field for multiple customers or enter the customer ID code to make changes to a single customer.

3. A Select A Customer Field window will appear (see list below). Select the customer field you wish to change.

4. A list of customers will appear (or one customer, if you entered a single customer code ID rather than a customer mask). Command options will appear:

6. Once you are on the correct page/screen, use your arrow keys to navigate between fields. Press F3 to display a window from which you can choose from. Make the necessary changes and press Enter when finished.

7. Command options will appear; select Update to save your changes.

Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.

8. "Print List? Yes/No" will appear. Select yes to print out a list of your changes; select no if you do not want to print a list of changes.

 

Customer Quick Maintenance Fields

Field Name Description
Alias Group The customer item alias group for the customer that is used to map their item codes and descriptions to your Net•Yield item codes and descriptions.
Broker The outside sales broker that represents this customer on your behalf.
Carton The master shipping carton used by this customer, if not the same as the system or items default carton. The default is based on the Cartonize setting in found in Shipping Options.
Chain The chain for the customer.
Class The customer class or business segment for the customer. The system default is based on the customer class setting found in Customer Defaults.
Compound FC Are the finance charges compounded? (Y=Yes/N=No) The system default is Y.
Cool Control Does the customer require you to report COOL (Country of Origin labeling) information on any of the following forms: sales orders, invoices, bills of lading, warehouse releases. Y = strict cool control where the system will require you to report the information, N = loose cool control where the system will allow you to enter and report the information but not force you to. The system default is N. See COOL Identity.
Duns MSGS Do you want dunning messages to appear on the customer's statement? (Y=Yes/N=No) The system default is Y.
Credit Limit The credit limit for the customer.
EDI GLN The customer's DUNS, EDI, GTIN or other identifier used for EDI transactions.
Finance CHG Are finance charges applied to the customer's account? (Y=Yes/N=No).
Freight The freight terms are: PPD = prepaid, you pay the freight, COL = collect, the customer pays the freight, or PPC = prepaid and charge, you pay the freight and bill it back to the customer as a line item on the Sales Order/Invoice. The system default is based on the Freight Payment Terms setting found in Customer Defaults.
Freight Type The freight cost type for this customer as defined in your Sales Cost Adjustments. The system default is based on the Freight Type setting found in Customer Defaults.
Old Bill-To Customer BILL-TO ID from your existing system.
Old Ship-To Customer SHIP-TO ID from your existing system.
Order Guide Does this customer use an order guide? N = not using, A = use only the customer item alias group IDs and names on the order guide, P = use only the items found on the price list on the order guide. The system default is based on the order guide used in the Sales Orders setting found in Customer Defaults.
Price Class The customer price class or price sheet for the customer. The system default is based on the price class setting found in Customer Defaults.
Price Override Override the base selling price when pricing sales orders that were previously set to price later. Y=Yes, N=No.
Print Price Do you need to print the selling price on the sales orders for this customer? Y=Yes/N=No. The system default is N.
Region The region for the customer, if being used. (Optional)
Roll on Item An item code that can automatically roll on to each sales order for this customer. The default setting is based on "Roll On Item" found in Sales Options.
Route The default route for the customer. The system default is based on the Route setting found in Customer Defaults.
Sales Rep The sales rep for the customer. The system default is based on the sales rep setting found in Customer Defaults. Functionality and visibility during the sales order process is dependent upon Sales Options, Shipping Options, and User Options and User Security settings.
Statement Does the customer get a statement? (Y=Yes/N=No). The system default is Y.
Status The status of the customer is either A = Active or I = Inactive. The system default is A.
Stop on Route The default stop on the route for the customer, if needed.
Store ID If part of a chain, this is the customer's store number or ID.
Summary Inv Collapse sales orders to the same customer bill-to into one invoice. Y= Yes, collapse orders into one invoice, N = no, do not collapse orders into one invoice.
Tax 1, 2, and 3 if defined Is this customer subject to the sales tax types 1, 2, and/or 3, as defined in Tax Options? (Y=Yes/N=No) The system default is N. Functionality and visibility is dependent upon User Options, Tax Options, and User Security settings.
Tax Code The default tax type to be used for this customer for invoking tax type pricing exceptions/accruals.
Terms The default payment terms for the customer. The system default is based on the terms setting found in Customer Defaults. Functionality and visibility during the sales order process is dependent upon User Options and User Security settings.
Template-Pick Ticket The customer pick ticket label template, number of copies, and pounds per label override.
Template-Carton The customer carton label template and number of copies override.
Template-Manifest The customer manifest label template and number of copies override.
Template-Order Customer order label template, number of copies, and pounds per label override.
FedEx Account The FedEx account number to charge for third party billing. Used when freight is collected on the order when creating FedEx label file records and using next day freight types.
UPS Account The UPS account number to charge for third party billing. Used when freight is collected on the order when creating UPS label file records and next day freight types.
DHL Account The DHL account number to charge for third party billing. Used when freight is collect on the order when creating DHL label file records and next day freight types.
Trace The Trace Buyer ID for the Customer and which form to print the Trace source information. 1 = Unshipped Orders, 2 = Shipped Orders, 3 = Invoices, 4 = BOL, 5 = Releases, See Trace Overview for more information.
Insurance Carrier The receivables insurance carrier this customer is covered by.
